Fanwen's Tibet Trilogy describes the collisions and integration of different ethnic and cultural groups from the aspect of religion. It highly praises religion's redemption for love and life and insight to social problems, providing profound description of and exploration to the function of religion. However, the inadequate purification of religion's negative factors brings out some reflections: (i) the power of evil purified in the religion is not fully considered and discussed, which makes the power of the goodness appear to be separated from the cultural foundation and thus look void; (ii) the undue praise of the divinity leads to the abstraction and signifying of the character images and further the repression and distortion of human nature; (iii) the religious redemption is over-emphasized, leading to its absolutization and nothingness, which weakens the profundity of the introspection and the criticism in describing the history, and makes it mysterious and fantasy in forecasting the rebirth and future.

In Far from the Madding Crowd, Hardy's ecological philosophy can be analyzed from his vivid description of the nature. His thoughts are similar to the ecological philosophies advocated in Tao Te Ching. Although their thoughts about the origin of the universe are slightly different, they agree unanimously that Nature is controlled by the natural law, and that the Heaven, the Earth and human beings constitute the universe, and the two philosophies both have the highest ecological ideal of “integration of Nature and human”. In the paper, a cross-cultural comparative study on ecological philosophies is conducted by comparing the similarities and differences of these two philosophies so as to explore the consensus between Chinese and western ecological philosophy.

Li He is the most outstanding poet in the middle Tang Dynasty, and he has always been the focus of academic circles. However, the research on Li He's image is very limited, while study on the myth of Li He's image remains blank. The construction of the mysterious image of Li He shows a kind of interactive process between poetry and biography. Li He's poetry Gong Wu Chu Men is likely to be an invisible source of The Biography of Li Changji written by Li Shangyin. Li He had become a myth in fictions and notes of descendants, leading to the formation of a mythology system centered on Li He, where every story of his is related to one another so as to provide a clear picture of how Li He became a mythical figure. Li He's mythical figure in White Jade Building reveals Li Shangyin's motivation of deifying people, which is because Li Shangyin felt sympathy for Li He's experience when Taoism of Tang Dynasty was popular and people began to rethink that the fate of a poet was always believed to be not good in the history of Chinese Poetry.
