Abstract: Based on the data of trade export value added (TiVA), this paper compares and discusses the internal and external demand dependence of CAFTA in the global production network by referring to the backward correlation degree of GVC and the contribution rate of final demand. The conclusion shows: At the level of export value-added dependence, the internal dependence of the CAFTA is greater than the external dependence, and the economic links in the production division of labor within the CAFTA are increasingly close. At the same time, China's position as an upstream supplier in ASEAN is steadily rising. At the level of final demand dependence, each economy relies more on the outside than on the inside of CAFTA, contributes less to the final demand market within FTA and provides less momentum for development. However, the inter-supply relationship within each economy is rising, the degree of interdependence is increasing, and the economic development within CAFTA is moving forward. Strength is expected to increase.
