Abstract: It is diffcult to write the electron configuration and orbital representation of multi electron atoms correctly in the study of inorganic chemistry. In this work, based on the problems and mistakes observed druing the teaching, we proposed a method to use the Xu Guangxian Rule together with the three rules of principles of electronic distribution to write the electron configuration and orbital representation fast and correctly. We hope that it could assist the learnning of the atom structure and electronic distribution of multi electron atomand ions.
