Abstract: The professional identity of students majoring in preschool education in Qujing Normal University has been investigated by a questionnaire on college students’ professional identity. The results shows that the professional identity of these students is generally above the middle level and there is no significant difference for students of different genders or from different places; the level of professional identity of the freshmen is higher than that of the sophomores; the professional identity of the students who chose to major in preschool education based on their own will is higher than those who did it to the expectation of their parents or others, and those who were adjusted to the major; students who know a lot about their majors have a higher professional identity than those who know little; students with better grades and academic achievement have a higher professional identity than those with poor academic performance.
