The Practical System of Multiple - narrative Communication of Ethnic Traditional Sports in the Upper Reaches of the Pearl River

Abstract: This paper sorts out the types and development overview of ethnic traditional sports in the upper reaches of the Pearl River through the methods of literature review, field investigation, and expert interviews. The multiple narrative communication forms are summanzed: conducting narrative communication of cultural connotations by excavating the stories of historical origins, expressing philosophical thoughts and values, and demonstrating the combination with local folk customs; carrying out narrative communication of personal stories by sharing the experiences of athletes and inheritors and the participation experiences of ordinary people; performing narrative communication of competitive sports events by live broadcasting and reporting major sports events and excavating the stories behind the events; conducting cross-media narrative communication by combining traditional media with new media and integrating with other cultural fields; and carrying out regional cooperation narrative communication by cooperating within the upper reaches of the Pearl River and communicating and cooperating with other regions. Moreover, the safeguard measures for the multiple narrative communication of ethnic traditional sports in the upper reaches of the Pearl River are put forward from the aspects of policy and financial support, personnel training, cultural inheritance and protection, cooperation and communication, and media integration.
