Abstract: Digital empowerment of high-quality agricultural development is an important starting point for the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas. Based on the five core connotations of high-quality agricultural development of “innovation, coordination, green, open and sharing”, an indicator system is constructed. Principal component analysis and panel data analysis are adopted to draw the following conclusions: (1) the digital economy can significantly promote the high-quality development of agriculture through industrial value-added, digitalization level, scientific and technological development, and communication popularization; and (2) the digital economy can promote the high-quality development of agriculture through the improvement of the level of economic development. In the long run, digital economy enabling high-quality agricultural development needs to focus on the following five aspects: strengthening the construction of rural network communication facilities; improving the level of rural data center construction; cultivating high-level digital talents in rural areas; Fourth, the use of the government and the market “two hands” to promote the digital transformation of agricultural enterprises; and using the superior resources of the East to help the deep integration of the digital and agricultural industries in the west.
