Abstract: The SWOT method is employed to analyse the advantages, disadvantages, opportunities, and challenges of developing sports tourism resources in Yunnan's frontier regions. From the perspectives of community in sports tourism resource development, the paper proposes strategic measures for the scientific development of sports tourism resources in Southwest frontier regions. These strategies include the Government-led strategy, Talent Supply Strategy, Business Innovation Strategy, Holistic Development Strategy, Sustainable Development Strategy, Resource Digitalisation Strategy, Leading Industry Strategy, and Mass Participation Strategy.
