Abstract: The famous poet Shi Fan's “The Nine Friends of The Capital ” is a poem describing the personality and temperament of Yunnan's candidates for the imperial examination and their lives in Beijing. As fellow townspeople and in the same year, they comforted each other on the way to the imperial examination, and maintained contacts after becoming officials.Their poems have a large number of common themes, such as pomes of the travel to Beijing,pomes of communication and society and pomes of image inscription.This group is of great value and significance for understanding the life of scholars in southern Yunnan in Beijing, the road to fame in imperial examinations, the rise of literati groups and the collation of local documents.
