Abstract: The Yuan Dynasty was a crucial stage in the process of ethnic integration in Chinese history. The Wuzha-Bijie post road in the southwest frontier was an important passage, and its practice of ethnic integration holds significant historical reference value. This paper explores the constraints and promotion of ethnic integration by geographical environment, economic foundation and policy orientation by sorting out the historical experience of the Wuzha-Bijie post road in the Yuan Dynasty, and then summarizes the historical value of the post road system in frontier governance and ethnic integration. Combined with the national strategic background and the actual situation of Wuzha-Bijie, this paper studies and proposes the experience and lessons of the Wuzha-Bijie post road in promoting ethnic integration in the Yuan Dynasty, providing historical reference for the current national strategy of ethnic integration.
