Abstract: Based on the national census data, using the theory of population geography, this paper analyzes the overall situation and provincial differences of population age structure and aging in China through three indicators: children's coefficient, elderly coefficient, and aging.and discusses The internal relationship between population age structure and aging and rural revitalization and its impact mechanism on rural revitalization has been discussed. The results show that the age structure of China's population has changed greatly, the level of aging is high, and the differences between provinces are significant. Deep aging has become a new development trend. Natural population growth, mechanical growth, and productivity development level are important reasons for the change of population age structure.
