Exploration and Practice of the Blended Teaching Based on OBE:A Case Study of Basic Ecology

Abstract: The OBE concept and hybrid teaching model have formed a complete theoretical system and implementation model after many years of practice, but the organic combination of the two has been little reported. The teaching content of the Basic Ecology is divided into high-level questions and low-level questions based on the OBE concept. Two types of teaching strategies are put forward at four levels--before class, during class, after class, and course assessment based on these two questions. Finally, a questionnaire is used to investigate students' satisfaction with the achievement of course goals. The results show that the hybrid teaching model based on the OBE concept can force the improvement of students' learning process through the output of learning results, and provide a new paradigm for the teaching of Basic Ecology courses.
