Construction of a Translanguaging-centered Translation Professional Knowledge System in the New Era

Abstract: The social development in the new era puts forward new requirements for the cultivation of translation professionals. A series of problems have arisen in the process of the construction of translation major so that it has difficulty in meeting the requirements of the new era in the curriculum reform, mainly because it has not clarified the objectives according to the special knowledge structure of translation. The knowledge structure characteristics of translation major is discussed and the challenges of translation major in the new era are explored. Accordingly, the integration of multiple cultivating goals under the framework of translanguaging, and the construction of translation professional knowledge structure with the core of translanguaging are proposed, which aims to help educators correctly understand the objectives and knowledge structure of translation major, and effectively cope with the problems in the construction of translation major, as well as cultivate professional talents to meet the needs of the new era.
