Abstract: With the continuous development of society, news has become a major channel for most people to obtain external information, so the presentation of a region's image in news reports becomes especially important. A good regional image is an invisible resource that reflects the characteristics and charms of the region, attracts more investment and tourism opportunities, and contributes to the development of the local economy, so the image of Yunnan in the domestic and international media is crucial to the future development of Yunnan. Positive image coverage will bring more and better opportunities for Yunnan. The study of Yunnan's image in the British mainstream media, BBC, was conducted through textual analysis to summarize the characteristics and attitudes of the BBC's coverage of Yunnan's image, with the aim of providing reference for the international image of Yunnan.
