In the multi-lingual environment, foreign students in the southwest frontier minority areas will inevitably be influenced by local dialects in their Chinese learning process. In Dehong, foreign students’ language usage in the area is fully investigated to comprehensively assess their Chinese dialects contact level. The correlation analysis of the social psychology of foreign students’ Chinese language learning samples and Chinese dialects contact level, and the Chinese dialect contact level and the HSK scores is carried out to explore the influence of local dialect factors on foreign students’ Chinese learning so that the characteristic path of language education for second language learners is explored.
