Reform and Improvement of Comprehensive Evaluation System of English Teaching in Higher Vocational College taking Yunnan Vocational Institute of Energy Technology as an example

Abstract: Teaching evaluation is a process of the judgment on the actual or potential value of teaching activities, which can improve teaching and learning efficiently. However, there are a series of disadvantages in the traditional summative evaluation system of English teaching in higher vocational colleges. It's necessary to reform the present teaching evaluation system in higher vocational colleges. According to the theory of teaching evaluation, a comprehensive evaluation system combining summative evaluation with formative evaluation is constructed. It is one of the important sections for English teaching reform in Higher vocational colleges and it is also one of the effective measures to improve English teaching.
