Abstract: Quanzhou Nanyin is active in the Minnan-spoken areas in Fujian, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Southeast Asian countries where a Minnan language-based Nanyin culture circle has been formed. Nanyin Singing Assembly is one of the direct and effective ways to intensify the relationship of its members and the chord companions. In Indonesia, the Indonesian Oriental Music Foundation, the only existing oversea Chinese group to hold the activities of Nanyin, has organized three large-scale Nanyin singing activities to transmit the traditional Nanyin culture and add new life to Nanyin. These activities enhance the vitality of Nanyin in a foreign country and give people a view to the overall situation of the national heritage and its development crisis.
