Abstract: The literary writers of the Tang ang Song dynasties sensitively captured the spatial imagery of the street to develop their poetic imagination of the city. With the gradual breakdown of the bazaar system and curfew system in the process of urban transformation, the linear public space of the street transformed from a political road of competition to a stage of urban life, from the coldness of the curfew in which "the drums in the six streets were cut off from the dust" to the hustle and bustle in which "Jin Wu was not forbidden to roam the six streets", from the transformation the natural aesthetic of farming to the aesthetic of desire in the marketplace, which was engraved with the traces of urban transformation in the unique space of the street.
