Abstract: The prosperity of Yunnan poetry in the Qing Dynasty was no worse than that of other places, but from the existing literature, there is still lack of the systematic review, and some authors and works of research value have not yet attracted the attention of researchers. Song Jiajun's book Falling Xuan Poems in the early Qing Dynasty has not yet been organized and published due to ignorance. Some sort of compilation of Song Jiajun's life, and the ideological content, artistic features and poetic ideas embodied in his poetry are made based on the review of his works Falling Xuan Poems, and Lianhu Song Draft, from which the author's concern for current affairs, for the country's fortunes, and his pursuit of Buddhist meditation are highlighted. The simple and natural style of the poem and the art of using poetry to preserve history truly depict the historical landscape of Yunnan at that time, and with the sense of regional cultural identity, it highlights the consciousness of regional culture.
Key words: Song Jiajun, poetry compilation, regional culture, Buddhist thought
