Abstract: by using the methods of literature and field research, this paper interprets the sports culture phenomenon in the field of water sprinkling festival of Dai nationality in Yunnan Province. The main conclusion is that the national sports activities in the field of water sprinkling Festival contain many principles of sociology, such as the theory of gift exchange, the theory of overall presentation system, the theory of structure and function, etc. Relevant suggestions: we should take the way of both theoretical education and practice to let the Dai local knowledge live; grasp the evolution trend of modern culture to play the role of national sports in maintaining social stability.
