Abstract: Under the national attention and the efforts of sports workers, the traditional sports of ethnic minorities in China have achieved vigorous development relying on various levels of national sports. In recent years, due to insufficient innovation, new types of competitions have not appeared. The development and promotion of sports projects have entered the bottleneck area. This paper mainly uses the literature method and the comparative analysis method. According to the characteristics of the items set up in the National Minority Traditional Sports Games, and drawing on the ideas of modern competitive sports, the innovative traditional sports of ethnic minorities will be combined into a high-speed racing and blowing guns. "National Biathlon" has become the first comprehensive competitive sport in the traditional sports of ethnic minorities in China, and has carried out preliminary construction of the project portfolio, setting and rules framework. Finally, the future development direction of "National Biathlon" has been prospected. At the critical moment when the country is striving to achieve national rejuvenation, innovative projects with strong national characteristics and international vision, such as "National Biathlon", can deepen the interaction between Chinese national culture and world culture, and promote the revival of Chinese sports culture.
