An analysis of Ideological“Tendencies”of Foreign Language Majors in Colleges and Universities

Abstract: The thinking model of College English majors, in the process of professional learning,is easily influenced by western thoughts, which leads to they have a tendency of a negative mainstream ideology, superficial thought on patriotic consciousness, blindly following the universal value, and a certain degree of “tendencies” etc. Besides, the lack of teachers' team, the unscientific writing of teaching materials, and the lack of cultural self-confidence cultivation have strengthened their “tendency” to seriously restrict their growth and success. To strengthen teachers team construction, improve education quality, optimize the university foreign language professional teaching materials, strengthen the value orientation, strengthen national culture education and promote cultural self-confidence are reliable ways to deal with foreign language professional college students' ideological “tendencies”.
