Abstract: In order to understand the colony structure and antimicrobial activity of endophytic fungi from Gentiana in Yunnan, the endophytic fungi in root, stem and leaf of healthy Gentiana were isolated by tissue block method, their morphological identification was carried out according to colony and microscopic characteristics, and the antifungal activity of the isolated endophytic fungi was screened by filter paper method. 49 endophytic fungi were isolated from the roots, stems and leaves of Gentiana, belonging to 15 genera, of which 11 genera and 23 strains had antibacterial activity to at least 1 indicative bacteria, accounting for 46.9% of the total Yunnan Gentiana. In this study, the population distribution of endophytic fungi in Yunnan Gentiana was studied, and some endophytic fungi with antimicrobial activity were obtained, which laid a foundation for the search for new antibacterial agents.
