On the Source and the Status Quo of Daoism in Qujing Yunnan

Abstract: Daoism in Qujing inherited local witch culture, took in the essence of early Tianshi Daoism and other sects of Daoism such as Qinwei, Ningbao, Shenxiao and Shangqing, finally formed the unique local Daoism by living harmoniously with Buddhism and Confucianism. At present, local Daoism falls into two groups: Daoist family and Dongjinhui. The current research fills the blank of research on Qujing Daoism, reveals its characteristics of “The Unity of Witchcraft and Daoism; Buddhism, Confucianism and Daoism in One”, and makes some other brand-new discoveries.
