Abstract: With the social and economic development, frequent exchanges between China and many other factors gave birth to the travel activity in the modern sense. In the Republic of China, the southwestern region has become a hot area for people’s traveling destination, along with the emergence of a large number of southwest travel guide books for people traveling. Compared with the traditional local history, travel guide has many modern features. It has been obvious in the travel books editing, publishing and travel ideas.
