Abstract: Based on the theories of cultural niche, mutual constitution, and collective memory, this paper constructs a three-dimensional model of “niche gestation–bidirectional translation–synergistic symbiosis” to systematically elucidate the mechanisms underlying the integration of Yunnan's red culture and regional culture, emphasizing their dynamic mutual constitution within the unique ecological context of the southwestern frontier. Regional culture provides an adaptive growth space for red culture from geographical, ethnic, and historical dimensions, while red discourse, through ethnicized expression in dialogue with regional culture, achieves bidirectional translation and mutual empowerment. Ultimately, this leads to deep symbiosis at the levels of value identity, symbolic integration, and social function, and is elevated to “educational symbiosis” within the contemporary university aesthetic education system. This not only provides a new analytical framework for the study of red culture in multi-ethnic frontier regions but also offers a “Chinese path” of referential value for universities in fulfilling the fundamental task of fostering virtue and nurturing talent, as well as advancing cultural education.

Key words: red culture, regional culture, two-way translation, collaborative symbiosis
