Protection and Development of Language Ecology in Characteristic Ethnic Villages from the Perspective of Rural Vitalization

Abstract: Language ecology is an important part of the comprehensive promotion of rural vitalization.The protection and development of characteristic ethnic villages is in line with the general requirements of the rural vitalization strategy.The survey shows that the language ecology of “national traditional village” Lazhe Village in Lubuge Township presents a new dynamic in the dimensions of economy and media with its flexible code-switching, prominent demand for national standard language system, and development of ethnic written language to be enhanced.Ethnic communication and integration, government support and party building guidance, tourism development and network technology help constitute important mechanisms affecting language ecology.In view of the language needs of local rural vitalization, the government, schools and villages have formed a joint force to protect and develop the language ecology through various strategies in the aspects of improving the ability of national standard spoken and written language, inheriting ethnic language and culture, and developing ethnic language resources, so as to help rural vitalization.
