Abstract: Online literature, with its avant-garde cultural traits, is highly favored in the current IP domain. During the process of medium form transformation, the creative practice of cross-media narrative and aesthetic reconstruction of the text itself constitutes a unique cultural phenomenon and aesthetic practice field. Focusing on the breakthrough of online literature adapted TV series, this study delves into the construction and transformation of its aesthetic paradigm based on the “intertextuality” theory. The research starts from four key dimensions—the intertextual transformation of content themes (traditional/breakthrough), the cross-media reconstruction of narrative methods (genre/reconstruction), the negotiation strategy of thematic demands (fantasy/reality), and the coupling logic of value orientation (entertainment/significance), to analyze the conflict, intersection and innovation mechanism of aesthetic elements in the process of online literature's film and television adaptation. The aim is to clarify that under the new discourse symbols and simulacrum aesthetic paradigm generated in the electronic media era, the adaptation of online literature into TV series through effective cross-media “translation” practice not only achieves mutual benefit and win-win between literary and film and television texts, but also seeks and achieves a dynamic balance and complementary coexistence between commercial and entertainment demands and the seriousness and profundity of literature. The research shows that under the dual influence of mainstream cultural value guidance and industry aesthetic filtering, successful adaptation practices are gradually pointing towards the construction goal of “super symbols”, and its future development has significant strategic significance for enhancing the country's cultural soft power.
