Abstract: In China, the diversities of biology, culture, and language in ethnic minority areas are unparalleled. However, the harsh living environment, low living standards, lagging social development, and difficult economic development in ethnic minority areas are equally evident. For over half a century, properly handling the contradiction between the diversity of ethnic languages and cultures and the modernization of ethnic economy and society has always been the biggest challenge for ethnic groups and governments in ethnic minority areas to shoud have been avoided and solved. Fully maintaining linguistic diversity and promoting the comprehensive development of the language economy is the optimal language strategy to solve the challenges of this century.
