Abstract: Yunnan was swept by numerous large-scale plagues during the Qing dynasty, causing great havoc to society and people's livelihoods, and the works of Yunnan poets had addressed many of these issues. The ancient plagues in Yunnan have been studied from historical, sociological, and medical perspectives, but not from a literary perspective. Yunnan poets, faced with the plague of life, had painted a painful picture of people's livelihoods, expressing not only their deep concern for people's livelihoods, their deep reflection on life, and their search for a way out, but also their profound compassion and humanism. At the same time, these literary writings prove history with poetry and have valuable historical value.
