Research on Green Reed Zen Association

Abstract: Chen Bin was the general in the Jiangnan who moved in Yunnan in late Ming and early Qing China.He lived in seclusion in Jinxi, Menghua because of the "Shapu Rebellion".After that he was associated with Fan Ruishi, Xuan Fengtai, disciple Wei Gengyao, and Taoist Zhang An.Then, he entered Jizu Mountain with Ding Bidi and other monks who had no residence (Chan Master Hong Ru), and formed a "Green Reed Zen Association " for a period of 100 days, and other members were no longer available.Chen Yuan said that the trend of the Joy of Zen in the Ming dynasty, Yunnan and Guizhou scholars has been anticipating its flow.Chen Binjie's " Green Reed Zen Association" reflects the Buddhist meditation, reading mountain temple, avoiding disasters and the prevailing situation of Buddhism in Jizu Mountain in Dali in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties.
