Abstract: It is Mao Zedong's original and significant contribution to the construction of the Party that special emphasis is placed on building the Party ideologically and putting the ideological and theoretical construction of the Party in the first place.In the new era and new stage of development, ruling the country must be preceded by ruling the Party, and ruling the Party must be preceded by ruling the heart.To cure the heart means to focus especially on building the Party ideologically and strengthening it theoretically.Over the past 100 years since the founding of the Communist Party of China, the ideological and theoretical construction of the Party has made glorious achievements.The 20th Party Congress put forward a strategic plan to "comprehensively strengthen the ideological construction of the Party".The comprehensive emphasis on the ideological construction of the Party can be achieved by attaching great importance to the ideological and theoretical construction, carrying out active ideological struggle, using the Marxist materialistic dialectic and materialistic historical view to observe the problems of the new era and new development stage of China.The ideological and theoretical construction cannot ignore the changes of China's social and economic system, the changes of ownership system, and the changes of class structure.
