Abstract: As the origin of the Chinese classical poems, The She King has attracted the eyeballs of sinologists who translate it repeatedly, and A Virtuous Young Lady Resists the Attempts of a Seducer is one of the representatives.James Legge has three translation versions for this book respectively in 1871, 1876 and 1879.Readers find the features of more Confucian classics and edification for the hero and heroine in the poem with the reconstruction of linguistic symbols, connotations and concepts of history and culture.The translation images are the reconstruction for those of the hero and heroine in the original text and the reconstruction of the James Legge’s language and historical and cultural concepts.The images variation and reconstruction are mutual interaction with the deep cultural modes of the translator.
