Abstract: “Scientific protection of ethnic languages and building a harmonious and healthy language life" is an important part of language work in the new era. The field investigation of Ruka people's language life in Rishuwan revealed that the language life of Ruka people there presents a pattern of "mother tongue+local minority language+Chinese dialect/Mandarin" and "Chinese characters+Ruka Dongba script". The symbiotic and harmonious language life is closely related to the living environment where various ethnic groups live together and vertically distributed, high cultural confidence, responsibility and tolerance, friendly exchanges and shared and harmonious ethnic relations, and the integration and symbiosis of multi-ethnic cultures.

Key words: Tibetan area, Naxi, Ruka people, symbiosis and integration, multilingual harmony
