Abstract: French contemporary ideologist and theorist Roland Barthes is the major representativefor the transition from structuralism to deconstructionism. The wtiter mainly contributes to the emphasis on the denial of the authority of the authors and the hermeneutics of readers. His theory follows the tradition of Neo Anglo-American Criticism and starts the modern hermeneutics. Roland Barthes is, thus, the critical scholar in the transition of literature ideas. Barthes’ main ideas are expressed in The Death of the Author.
