Abstract: Political authority is an important subject in the field of political science. Engels' thought of authority pointed out the essence of authority and pointed out that authority is an objective need for people to organize and carry out joint activities, and social development cannot do without authority. In the new era, China's political authority has been challenged in many aspects, and the promotion of political authority has become an urgent task for the CPC. Therefore, the significance of China's political authority construction under the environment of socialist construction in the new era is analyzed, and the path to enhance political authority in the new era is explored from Engels' On Authority.
