Abstract: Based on the first-hand data from field surveys, the language usage of the Buyi people in the Southwestern Village of Qiannan was analyzed and summarized. It was found that the native language of the Buyi people in Southwestern Village was well preserved. They also use Chinese and their language life is of a harmonious type; and further analyze the reasons for the stable use of mother tongue and the formation of a harmonious bilingual life.
