Abstract: Goddess belief is an important part of Yi people's folk belief. The goddess belief of Yi people in Chuxiong has a unique spiritual context, and all kinds of blessing and sacrifice ceremonies carried out by goddess belief are folk events of Yi people. In the process of historical development, the goddess belief system of Yi nationality in Chuxiong has been gradually transformed by the localization of Han nationality area, highlighting the social and ecological features of the area. Other minority cultures such as Yi nationality, Miao nationality and Lisu nationality are also deeply affecting the mode of production and life concepts of Han people in Yi area, thus forming an inclusive and pluralistic folk belief pattern today.
