Abstract: The “Opinions on Promoting the Reform of the Tourism Industry” promulgated by the State Council in August 2014 put forward the concept of “targeted tourism poverty alleviation”. On the basis of sorting out targeted poverty alleviation and tourism targeted poverty alleviation, this paper summarized the characteristic paths, common experience and existing problems of carrying out practical exploration of tourism poverty alleviation based on actual conditions in Qujing City, Baise City, Wenshan Prefecture and Southwest Guizhou Province in Nanpan river basin in the past four years. In addition, it also puts forward several practical path of tourism poverty alleviation in Nanpan river basin, namely, to accurately grasp the inherent requirements of tourism poverty alleviation under the background of targeted tourism poverty alleviation, to accurately identify tourism poverty alleviation targets, to precisely implement tourism poverty alleviation projects, to precisely construct tourism poverty alleviation mechanism, and to precisely establish the tourism poverty alleviation think tanks and education and training systems, so as to exert precise efforts to achieve real poverty alleviation, help the real poor and really lift them out of poverty.
