Abstract: Bai People's traditional dance “Raosanling” has been registered as one the Intangible Cultural Heritages on May 2006. Bawangbian Dance, the dance throughout the Raosanling ceremony, does not only highlight the ethnic characteristics but also render the protection, inheritance and spread of Bai People’s brilliant culture. This study takes Bawangbian Dance as the subject, through the analyses of Bawangbian Dance, aiming to reveal the time-honored folklore history, the cultural meaning and the practical value, and then put forth some plausible suggestions in inheritance strategy.
