Abstract: The folk narrative poem Ashima by Sani People,a branch of Yi Nationality,has been published into various Mandarin versions since 1950s.Those versions present different linguistic features.This paper selects the four most representative versions,namely,Huang Tie's,Ang Ziming's,Ma Xueliang's and Huang Jianming's and makes a comparative analysis of their linguistic features from the perspective of syntax and rhyme.
