Abstract: Chinese culture is the life—line for the survival and development of China,Meanwhile it is also the significant source of cultivating socialism core values. As the important component of Chinese culture, the particularity of minority culture determines that the realization of its modern transformation is the only way for it to better inherit and develop. As the Province with most ethnic minorities in China, Yunnan has brought together the outstanding traditional culture of many ethnic minorities in a certain geographical area. Based on the analysis of the general situation of the development of ethnic cultures in Yunnan, this paper puts forward two directions to realize the modern transformation of Yunnan's outstanding traditional culture. First, inherit the outstanding values of traditional culture of ethnic minorities. Second, enhance the attractiveness of traditional culture of ethnic minorities.And put forward four ways to realize modern transformation on the current situation of the development of Yunnan's traditional culture. First, combined with the structural reform of the supply side of agriculture. Second, integrate with the innovation of science and technology.Third,create a distinctive cultural brand .Fourth,Speed up the construction of public cultural service system in Ethnic Minority Areas.
