This paper analyzes the development ways of the plateau characteristic sports industry, explores the development path of the plateau characteristic sports industry, and puts forward that the development of the plateau characteristic sports industry should focus on the development of sports tourism in minority areas, so that the region can be formed local characteristics. he development of plateau characteristic sports industry has been accelerated by integrating the development of plateau sports industry and the “The Belt and Road Initiative” economic development strategy which has made the plateau sports tourism unique and has gradually become a new growth point of Yunnan's economic development.
