Abstract: With 3001 citizens in Guiyang being the research sample, questionnaire being the research method and SPSS19.0 statistical analysis being the tool, social conditions, family characteristics and personal psychological effects, those three factors influencing residents’ energy use behavior are analyzed. The results shows that: social conditions and personal psychology are the two variables significantly associated with the behavior of using energy; in the practice of using energy, the most influential variables are successively social norms, policies and regulations, environmental responsibility and environmental attitude; the family population, the average monthly household disposable income and energy use behavior are significantly correlated. Finally, some countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to improve the energy use behavior of urban residents in Guiyang.
