On the Translation of Official Tourism Websites in Yunnan Province from the Perspective of Globalization Theory

Abstract: In the context of globalization, the translation of official tourism websites in Yunnan Province, as a profitable business of international marketing activities, is not just a process of language transformation from the source text to the target text. Globalization Theory is a new international marketing strategy to respond to global challenges. In light of Globalization Theory, the paper proposes that the translators are hoped to think globally to achieve economies of scale by global standards and act locally to meet the local market environment and culture in the translation of official tourism websites in Yunnan Province.
