Abstract: ICP-AES is used in this research to measure 23 kinds of impurity elements in pure silver so as to assess the quality of pure silver. The influence of the factors such as the choice of spectral line, the effect of salt and acid is discussed and verified. Result from 11 experiments of the reagent by curve work show that 23 impurity elements display a good linear relationship (r≥0.9994); the detection limit is in the range of 0.0005~ 0.0108 mg/L; the standard addition recovery rate is in the range of 96.8%~104.6%; relative standard deviations(RSD n=10) is in the range of 4.01%~7.85%. It is concluded that this method is simple, accurate, reliable and sensitive, and it can be used to detect 23 kinds of impurity elements in pure silver.
