Exploration into Transformation Development of Continuing Education in Colleges

Abstract: With the transformation development of economy and society in China, college continuing education runs along the track of “diploma-based to career-based to learning-based”, undergoes a transition from achievement-oriented, theory-oriented, simple and enclosed type to quality-oriented, application-oriented, flexible and open type respectively, and faces problems like backward concept, insufficient resource, weak motivation for studying. To solve these problems, taking market as their target, colleges should follow “five development concepts” to train applied talents in vocational environment and to promote the transformation development of college continuing education under the leadership of regional culture.
