Marx's Conception of Human Essence: A Critique and Transcendence of Feuerbach's Humanism

摘要: 作为青年黑格尔派的费尔巴哈虽然考虑到人的自然属性,并认识到宗教的本质是人,从而超越了唯心主义走向唯物主义,但费尔巴哈人本主义是直观式的唯物主义,对宗教的批判不够彻底,对人的本质核心中的社会性、实践性缺乏考察。马克思说人的本质在社会关系中,从哲学的抽象人到现实的具体人,人处在一定的社会关系中,人的实践活动对社会发展具有重要意义,从而达到对人的本质科学认识。通过分析马克思人的本质概念对费尔巴哈人本主义的批判和超越,有助于我们更清晰、准确地理清马克思人的本质理论,关注到人本身。

Abstract: As a young Hegelian, Feuerbach considered the natural attributes of human beings and recognized that religion is about human beings. Thus, he transcended idealism and moved towards materialism. However, Feuerbach's humanism is a naive materialism, and his critique of religion is not thorough enough. He also lacks an examination of the social and practical essence of human nature. Marx realized that the essence of human beings is the sum of all social relations moving from an abstract philosophical man to a concrete real man. Man exists in certain social relations, and his practical activities have significant implications for social development. Thus, a scientific understanding of human nature is achieved. By analyzing Marx's concept of human nature and its critique and transcendence of Feuerbach's humanism, we can better understand and clarify Marx's theory of human nature and pay more attention to human beings themselves.
