Abstract: Realizing social harmony and beauty has always been an ideal and goal for humanity. From the perspective of intellectual history, the exploration and pursuit of a harmonious society has gone through an overall development process from natural harmony to social harmony, from utopian harmony to scientific harmony, and from ideal harmony to reality. The rich ideological resources formed during this development process have laid the ideological foundation for the exploration of “harmonious China”. Xi Jinping persist in combining the Marxist concept of “harmony and beauty” with the practical development of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and proposes the “harmony and beauty” thought of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era. The fhoughf has achieved creative inheritance and innovative development of the previous concept of “harmony and beauty”.
