Abstract: Building Qujing into a sub-central city in Yunnan is not only the only way to promote the socialist modernization with Chinese characteristics and meet the needs of Qujing people for a better life, but also the objective requirement of high-quality leapfrog development of Yunnan's economy and society. To build Qujing into a sub-central city in Yunnan needs to complete the urban population aggregation, expand the urban economic strength, activate the urban endogenous power, and improve the urban radiation capacity by doing a good job in the top-level design, building an effective promotion mechanism, striving for the support of superiors, and expanding a new space for opening and cooperation key engineering tasks such as enhancing the ability of urban sustainable developmenton the basis of clarifying the urban functional orientation and development direction.
