Abstract: Qujing, As Yunnan’s provincial sub-centralcity, Qujing's population growth has become the bottleneck of urban development. Problems such as large gap of urban population size, increasing loss of population and slow growth of urban population, affect the sustainable development of Qujing's urban construction. Some practical approaches and countermeasures for Qujing city’s population growth are put forward by exploring Qujing urban population agglomeration, the advantages of population base, the good condition of the economic environment and urban resources, the information management mechanism, employment channels, and urban high-quality public service resources.
